ART PAWS BENEFITS
2020 UNDERDOG GRANT
It’s a bird…it’s a plane…no…IT’S UNDERDOG! Do you know an Underdog Pet Rescue Group that could use some financial help? The Art Paws Underdog grant is available to any local (within 75 miles of Reno) non-profit animal welfare organization. The focus of the grant committee is to choose the organization who displays the most financial need, in relation to the work they are able to accomplish. Although our focus is on smaller organizations, larger groups are welcome to apply for our underdog grants for specific projects. Tell your favorite group to apply today to fetch the Art Paws proceeds! Reno’s Art Paws is Artown’s only ‘bring your dog’ day and boasts the annual canine carnival that brings thousands of dog lovers and their pets to McKinley Arts & Culture Center Park.
Over the past 18 years, the private organizers have donated more than $125,000 back to the pet rescue non-profit community.
Past awards have been more than $2,000 each. These hardworking pet rescue groups strive to provide pets (dogs, cats, ferrets, wolves, horse, bunnies, etc) the happy, healthy lives they deserve.
The 2020 grant application is now available – Click here or on the Underdog Grant Application link on the right side of this page. All applications will be given careful consideration, if they are completed and submitted correctly.
Plan to attend the event on July 19th, 2020 but grant applications are due by Jan. 24th, 2020. Grant beneficiaries are chosen by an unrelated event committee and will be announced on a April 1st, 2020.
We would love to invite everyone to attend Artown’s 20th Annual Art Paws on Sunday, July 19. You can directly participate in the fundraising that helps animals in our community through the Art Paw silent auctions, hourly raffles, beer garden, and much more. Help us generate funds for this grant!
